Above is our collage assignment. To the left, is images of flowers i found around campus and in my own apartment. i have a love for flowers and buy myself them weekly. this collage represents many childhood memories. card games have always been a part of my family from go fish to learning poker with my father. i love the beauty and imagery of the queen of hearts card. it shows up in movies, tv shows, and more. i used my flower photos along with clipping masks and photoshop tools to recreate this card in a collage. the second collage, of images that are creative commons licensed, is a combination of a old fashioned tv, 1970s vogue cover, text messages i sent to myself, and both black & white and color tv static noise.
Below is our pattern design and mockup assignment. for my two mockups i used my geometric pattern on a mug and a typography based pillow. i particularly like my typography design as it could be adapted to different cities around the world.
